Nexus is a new generation data center and the sustainable heart of the Green Energy Park. As the greenest facility of its kind in Belgium and arguably Europe, Nexus holds a rare double Excellent certification from BREEAM and Edge. Born from a unique collaboration between Ghelamco, VUB, and UZB, this state-of-the-art smart building provides power to an entire ecosystem of future facilities.

Our mission: take a highly complex, technical masterpiece and explain it through straightforward, innovative communication.

Branding: Simplifying Complexity

We built the branding for Nexus to reflect its role as a high-tech connector. The visual identity is clean, efficient, and forward-looking, emphasizing the link between raw digital power and environmental responsibility. The Nexus mark symbolizes the intersection of the three major partners and the building’s role as a central hub for the park.

Website: A Digital Blueprint

The website serves as an interactive guide to this smart building. We designed the user experience to be intuitive, allowing visitors to navigate technical data effortlessly. It breaks down complex engineering feats into digestible insights, positioning Nexus as a global leader in sustainable infrastructure.

3D Visualisations: Seeing the Invisible

Data centers are often closed off boxes. We used 3D Visualisations to open Nexus up. Our renders highlight the innovative cooling systems, energy recycling infrastructure, and sleek architectural integration. These visuals move beyond aesthetics, serving as educational tools that showcase exactly how the greenest data center in Europe operates.

Launch Movie: Energy in Motion

To mark the project’s arrival, we produced a high-impact launch movie. Combining cinematic footage with motion graphics, the film tells the story of the Ghelamco, VUB, and UZB partnership. It captures the scale and ambition of Nexus, translating technical excellence ratings into a compelling vision of a greener digital world.
